Imperial College's Tamil Society TWIST Reworked Abacus : London Monday 15th October 2007
London was witness to the return of Twist, the charity club night hosted by Imperial College’s Tamil society. The event was launched back in 2004 with the help of DJ Harrybo, and has since been going from strength to strength.
The charities that have benefited from Twist events include the Rama Krishnan mission, British Red Cross, MIOT and Tamil Aid. The proceeds from this event will be donated to the British Red cross and Tamil Aid.
Twist events in the past have featured live PA's and MC Battles, and the organisers add a little twist each event to keep the crowd entertained and yesterdays was no exception. For the first time in Tamil history a Gaana Battle was held outside the homeland. Judges chose from the crowd two of the best dancers to battle it out for the title of 'Gaana King/Queen', and a bottle of bubbly...the rest as they say is history. To see who won the battle check out the pictures.
