We lost another one!

In my younger days, my New Year’s resolution used to be the same as many up and down the country, sign up to the gym, give up alcohol, stop eating Kothu Rotti on a weekday, etc. One thing I have yet to do is start a diary. Something where I can write about what’s been happening in the wonderful world of moi! Now instead of writing in a diary many have taken up the next best thing which is a blog. Millions of internet users around the world have started their own personal blogs rambling about anything from makeup to Madonna. This is all common knowledge but did you know that our favourite British Tamilian of Sri Lankan descent has started one to. No it’s not me but someone just as spunky; it’s the absolutely fabulous Tim Kash.

ABOVE from Timkashblog.com: Hawaiian shirt and shades to the MTV Movie Awards…that’s Bruce Willis. Casual. Softly spoken. Man of a few words. Loves Amy Winehouse almost as much as he loves his own daughters.

Tim is MTV America’s hot new asset. Yes people he’s left us Londoners for New York and is now on board MTV’s mother ship as one of their main presenters. Tim started his humble beginnings at Eton, presented various small scale TV shows including BBC’s ‘Top of the Pops’(R.I.P) and MTV’s news, hosted festivals and events around the world and is now interviewing the rich and dangerous at glitzy gala premiers being broadcasted to ‘billions’ across the globe!! To all those tuning in from Sri Lanka this is not Maharaja TV but the actual MTV with Punk’d, Pimp my ride and TRL.

Tim’s blog is now online at timkashblog.com. Below is an excerpt from his recent entry about the MTV Movie awards.

 My MTV Movie Awards Diary
 from http://www.timkashblog.com/

So, on Sunday I hit the MTV Movie Awards in LA. I’ve been to award shows before — I’ve even hosted a couple — but this was something else altogether.

At 7:29pm, the first of our A-list guests strolled down the pink-carpet (yes, pink!), but by 7:31pm on the dot, stars were literally pouring down the walkway, stopping only to have their pictures taken, then spending a few minutes with the world’s press, and finally joining Suchin and myself on the LIVE pre-show…my first ever LIVE show for the US! Los Angeles was a blast. A great city and home to the MTV Movie Awards.

For now, here’s just some of the people we caught up with on this
adventure…

ABOVE: Brave girl. Came out to the MTV Movie Awards. Hours later turned herself in and checked into the Hotel Jail (Samuel L’s words not mine). Very poised. All eyes were on Paris. Handles it graciously. Liked her. Wish her luck!
