About Prathab and Shamir (PNS)

Classically trained these two young talented artistes started their music journey back in 1998. Their debut album "Kaadhal Feelings" was launched in 2000. At the time this was the one of the first album that was launched into the Sri Lankan Tamil market. This album comprised of 14 beautiful tracks. Though this album wasn't a huge success, it has full-filled their aim. They studied in Trinity College, Kandy. The College environment and exposure to musical troops of the College enhanced their inborn talent and interest in Music.  Both of them have similar views of Life, Love and Nature. Now they are working on their Second Album "Last Beat".

     

Prathab
 
Trained by experienced hands from his tender age. He developed his Love of Music from inspirations gained due to his keen listening of Western, Tamil & Sinhala Songs. He is an ardent follower of Tamil poets Maha Kavi, Bharathy, Kavi Perarasu & Vairamuthu. His interest in Music enormously increased with the advent of Music Director A.R. Rahman. He was a keen participant in all College activities, especially in cultural songs. His friends in the College band were very helpful in improving his music style. The lyrics for this album were penned by him, with his cultivated interest in poetry well exhibited in the songs. 

Shamir
 
He has a keen interest in playing the Keyboard, which was his major hobby. This made him to love singing and adopting new trends in music. The idea of producing a local Tamil album was his brain child; the idea was aptly supported by his friends. His fine nature leads to the composing of soft melodies are well expressed in this Album. He is a keen listener of Western and South Indian Music. His ambition is to be the number one producer of Tamil Albums in Sri Lanka.

About EKG  

EKG Means En Kathal Geetham (My love Song in Tamil). This is a lovely, fresh and a unique track, a hit on the Tamil Radio Stations. Enormous support has been received from the listeners, which in turn made it a huge success in the local media. It's will be a matter of time before this track becomes a hit in Sinhala music world aswell. Prathab and Shamir originally composed melody for this track and Sri Shyamalangan composed the music. People who have listened to his 'Kiri Kodu Hithata' will never forget S Shyamalangan.
