NEW CONNAUGHT ROOMS

This was the second Plush event to take place and it was a mixed success. I attended the first event last August after Carnival weekend and was really impressed. So to the Ball - In true Lankan style, people really only started to arrive from about 11pm onwards. Probably because the event was going till 4am.

The only thing that could be improved with the previous Plush event was that it was overcrowded. Not sure whether people agree with me on that one but the group of friends I came with thought so.

In some ways though Plush has been a victim of its own success. The venue this time over two rooms would have been better if all the people had been put into one room. It was great for socialising to have two separate rooms, but more people would have been dancing earlier on in the night.

The venue for the Valentine's Ball was one of the most impressive I have been to in a while. Being a regular Lankan, I attend a number of these Balls by lots of organisations each year. Without doubt this event was one of the best in terms of decor and visual impact.
Another good thing was the more mature crowd. There were no teenagers and this was a plus point in my books and something I look forward to at the next Plush event. I think young professional events should only be reserved for over 21s.
Plush have gained a loyal following with the type of events they have started to throw in terms of the crowd, venue and excellent music. The question that everyone asked me was whether I found a Valentines...Well...I'd not be gentleman were I to tell. But she was something special.

Music on the night was provided by Radio 1's Dj Nihal alongside Dj Chippie & The U.K.T :
