Nalika, meaning All Woman, aptly describes this exotic, feminine beauty who has roots from Sri Lanka but was born and bred in London.

Raised in a musical background of Eastern and Western influences, Nalika soon developed a taste for her passion for music from an early age. "I grew up in a home where at one end of the house you could hear my dad practising and listening to Sri Lankan classical music, whilst in my bedroom Kylie and Jason would be blaring on the radio!"

At the age of 7, Nalika was encouraged by her family to begin studying the piano and violin, and the singing followed shortly afterwards. It was through performing in numerous musical productions both in and out of school that Nalika realised singing was her forte. Lead roles in charity shows such as 'The Roy Castle Cause for Hope Appeal' (1996), and winning singing competitions such as 'The Stratford and East London Music Festival' (1996) as a teenager boosted Nalika's confidence to a point where her singing lessons paid off when she successfully passed with Merit her Grade 8 singing - the highest grade attainable.

Nalika chose to pursue her education at University, reading French at University College London, whilst always continuing to develop and perfect her vocal ability with regular voice training. After being spotted by a talent scout whilst singing at a University Cultural Show, Nalika met with producers and began to exercise her song writing skills by composing her own original sonng material. The result of this collaboration are the unique and contrasting 4 songs featured on this website.

'Still on your Mind', a mid tempo pop/r'n'b song, tells the story of a lover who still holds a torch for an ex-girlfriend, whereas 'Up to You' is an uptempo track with an 80s feel to it. 'Love Song' is simply a love letter from an unfaithful lover asking for their partner's forgiveness, while 'Wait for Me' also a ballad, recounts the sadness of a long distance relationship using slow soulful beats and arabic percussive tones.
