 Following on from the success of the 2006 Imperial College Tamil Society ("ICTS") Show, the 2007 Committee had a big job on their hands in delivering a spectacle on the same grandeur. Having to compete with a Big Brother eviction night also did not help - Sinthiya et al had some serious competition on their hands in the form of Shilpa Shetty and Face from the A-Team.

 Ramanan Sri-Pathmanathan clearly did a good job as Head of Marketing as the 1,200 capacity venue was pretty much sold out. Taking on the larger venue capacity of the Hackney Empire was a clever move given the success of last year's show. Whomever thought of this deserves some credit for the £8,000 or so this year's Show raised for the nominated charities.

The hosts for the Show were the veteran team of Annakan Navaratnam and Sindhu (or was it Indhu - we can never tell). We heard several comments from audience members that the two were very easy on the eyes. Oi Oi

The play this year was a sequel to the very successfully written one to last year's. LOCAL HERO Anujen Vijay again put in a star performance following his succesful casting as Jamaica in the UCL Show. This boy is going places. Being Tamil - probably to medical school.

Sinthiya Punnialingam was very gracious in giving credit to her fellow committee members on bringing the Show together. As we all know however, and in the words of the President Peter Drucker, "Management is doing things right, leadership is doing the right things". Hats off Sinthiya. Face would have been proud - We love it when a plan comes together!!
