The Diwali show is an annual event brought to you by the students of King’s College London. Launched in 1992 to celebrate the Hindu festival of Light, the event showcases the talents of the students at the university and raises money for worthwhile causes.
The show over recent years has become one of the most anticipated university events of the year, with previous venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the Hammersmith Apollo to name but a few.
Held this year at the prestigious and high profile O2 Centre in Greenwich, the event showcased a total of nineteen acts including a dazzling array of dances, musical performances and fashion. The committee responsible for this years event included Alan Ganesh, Rahil Mandalia, Puja Ghumra, Rajdeep Sadhra and Nirooban Sivarajah. They successfully managed to maintain the high standards expected of the event as well as pushing boundaries in taking the event forward for future years.
The proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Guy’s & St Thomas’s NHS trust, White pigeon who help landmine and war victims in Sri Lanka and CINI UK who help underprivileged children in India.
