The Imperial RAG Charity Show was without doubt an impressive display of 'talent'. The event this year was in aid of the CHASE Ben Hollioake Fund, a Guidlford based Charity that supports life-limited children, those that are not expected to live beyond the age of 19.  The 2005 RAG event was held at the very trendy Mayfair nightclub Sketch, and it wouldn't have been at all surprising if a venue as upmarket could not have been secured for the 2006 Show. If anything however, the organisers stepped it up this year with the renowned Pacha being the host venue.  The Show opened this year with the omnipresent Funkology Dance group. They certainly had less room to work with on the narrow catwalk but still put on an impressive show.
The Chair this year, Kate Harvey, had a great team of people behind her in pulling off a very classy event. There were a number of big name designers that the Commitee were able to procure. Big high street names included TM Lewin whilst Goldie London's outfits were specially custom designed for the event.  Headline sponsors for the event were Deloitte, the financial services firm, and Medical Sickness. C4 were on hand to cover the designers Saxby Brothers and Belle & Bunty and celebrity spots on the night included Andy Rourke from The Smiths and Amanda Burton of Silent Witness fame. Toni & Guy were on hand to make the models look their best with Space NK taking care of the make up.
On the whole the 2006 Show was of the highest caliibre and was the best 'pure' fashion show event we have witnessed by a University this year. We did however hear on the grapevine that the UCL RAG Show was very impressive this year.
