THE DJ PROFILE DJ Chippie
You may have seen his name on Ministry of Sound's fliers or DJing at the recent UCL after party, but do you know the real Chippie? Well we have the low down. We decided to do a feature on Ian Anantharajah aka Chippie as he will be involved in a few projects to help bring Lankan music & it's artistes into the mainstream.
GROUP NAME: Soul Stylus
AGE: 26
MUSIC TYPE: R’n’B, Hip-Hop & Old School Classics
LOCATION: South London
DJ EXPERIENCE
Chippie has been a DJ for about 8 years. He started off promoting his own nights in 1996 in and around London but, being around the decks all the time was too tempting. He gradually started mixing and promoting with his DJ crew, Soul Stylus, and pulled off some successful nights of their own in London under the name of Vibin.
