Launched in 2003, City showcase is a five-day festival of free events promoting some of London's hottest emerging musicians, performers, designers, artists, and talented people in all creative disciplines.

'The Fly', on New Oxford Street was the venue of choice for The BBC Asian Network event. The intimate venue was packed with the audience keenly awaiting the performances by Prithpal, MDK Cartel, Rock ID & Sona Family.

First on stage was Prithpal with Loven & Abi. Supported by dancers included Kapilan Balasubramaniam, the performance kicked of in true style setting the bar high for an opening act.

Hosted by Nihal the event was to represent the different genres of music that British Asians were involved in. From Grime to Rock, all styles were showcased. In between acts the audience was entertained by DJ Kaypers amazing skills on the decks. The night ended with a performance by Sona Family.
