ALTERNATIVE TURNER PRIZE COMPETITION 2007
Amba Sayal Bennett
The Alternative Turner Prize is a competition for young people aged 13-25 based on the Turner Prize 2007. Tate Liverpool set the challenge to create a piece of artwork in any medium inspired by the artwork of one of the four nominated artists in this year's Turner Prize.
The competiton is now closed with ten entries shortlisted, including a young 16 year old British Lankan girl named Amba Sayal Bennett. Her friends have requested the help of community to create awarness of her entry piece attached below. If you would like to support Amba please vote on the TATE gallery website via the link below. In the past Amba has had her work displayed in the Fovea Gallery, The Davis Street Gallery and the Habs Hall. She was also a finalist in the SAA Young Artist of the year 2006.
